Fees And Insurance
Therapy That Puts You First
I’m an out-of-network provider, and there’s a reason I’ve chosen to practice this way: I believe therapy should be about you, not what an insurance company says your treatment should look like.
When insurance is involved, they require a diagnosis, have a say in the type and length of treatment, and require clinical information about the work we’re doing together. Working out of network gives us more freedom to choose what feels right for you - without an insurance company dictating the process.
In short, it gives us more flexibility, more privacy, and more room to be human.
And being out of network doesn’t necessarily mean paying the full cost yourself. If your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, your insurance may reimburse you for a portion of your therapy fees. Every plan is different, but I can help you know exactly what to ask when you call your insurance company so you can understand your potential reimbursement before we begin.
Let’s talk about it during your consultation and figure out what makes the most sense for you.
Investing in Yourself:
All sessions are 60 minutes and each session is $200.
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are answers to some of the questions you may have before getting started. If you don’t see your question answered here, feel free to reach out via text or email: 917-810-5600 or [email protected].
Do you offer in-person, virtual, or both?
I offer in person sessions in Huntington, NY, and virtual throughout NY and FL. We can talk about what format feels like the best fit during your consultation.
Which states can you see clients in?
I’m currently licensed to provide therapy to clients located in New York and Florida. If you’re not sure whether I can work with you, please reach out and I’m happy to clarify.
Do you take insurance?
I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. This allows us more flexibility, privacy, and freedom to make treatment decisions based on what you need.
Can I get reimbursed by my insurance?
Possibly! If your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, your insurance company may reimburse you for a portion of your therapy fees. Every plan is different, and I’m happy to help you understand what questions to ask your insurance company during our consultation.
What is a superbill?
A superbill is a receipt that includes the information your insurance company needs to process an out-of-network claim. I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
What are your fees?
All therapy sessions are 60 minutes and $200 per session. We’ll review fees and payment details during your consultation so you know exactly what to expect.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, are subject to the full session fee.
How do I get started?
The first step is to schedule a consultation. This gives us a chance to talk about what’s bringing you in, answer any questions you have, and see if working together feels like the right fit.
What if I’m not sure therapy is right for me?
That’s completely okay. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. The consultation is a chance to talk things through and decide together whether therapy feels like the right next step.
What should I do if I’m having a mental health emergency?
If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You can also call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. For pregnancy, postpartum, or maternal mental health support, you can call or text the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline at 1-833-TLC-MAMA (1-833-852-6262).
